Also, my mahogany Strat was a SSS route as delivered, and I wanted to install an HSS 'guard, so I had to route the bridge pickup cavity to accept the humbucker. No surprise there, but you can see a bit of the outline where there's extra wood missing from where the single coil cavity used to be. Those two examples are what I'm basing my answer on.
